Yes, I Can Sing

Have you ever had your favorite song come on and as you begin to sing with it, you felt you sounded just like the artist? So you put your hand to your mouth as if you were holding a microphone? As the other hand went up in the air and you begin to sway from side to side, you belted out every single word to that favorite song.

We are talking about a song that ministers to you. A song that makes you close your eyes at certain parts of the song. A song that speaks not only to your heart but to your circumstances. It is like every word was speaking directly to you. Ever been there?

Well, then you will know how the children of Israel felt as they actually WATCHED the Red Sea open and dry land appeared. They not only walked on it, but they walked through it. They were leaving a bad situation to seemingly another bad situation until they WATCHED. Until they actually watched God move.

In Exodus 15:1-2 says I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalted. The horse and its rider He has buried into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

I don’t know what you are dealing with or what you are going through, but I do know that He is the God of the Impossible. I do know that it doesn’t matter what it looks like or sounds like, by faith, we can WATCH Him opened our Red Seas. We can watch Him move on our behalf when the enemy is moving in.

God does not care as much, if you can’t or can carry a tune, but He says “SING”.

Sing unto God a new song Sing to the Lord a new song;

Sing to the Lord, all the earth.

Sing to the Lord, praise his name;

proclaim his salvation day after day.

Declare his glory among the nations,

his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;

he is to be feared above all gods. Psalm 96:1-4

Take out some time today and write a verse of your song to God.

What will be the first verse of your song?
