What are We so Afraid of?

What are we so afraid of? Losing a friend? Losing our job? Not having enough money Being talked about?

Or is it simply not being in control???

Truth be told, NONE of us are ever in control. We may think we are and we try very hard at it, but we are not.

Galatians 2:20-21 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

In other words: So I quit being a “law man” so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that.” (Galatians 2:20-21 MSG)

Never run from change. Change is Good. Change is always an opportunity to grow and move a step higher. The more change, the more growth. You never want to stay stuck!

But there are some of us who love to be stuck because it is comfortable. It is familiar.

We feel like we know what to expect, what to look for. It’s a territory that we know well enough to eventually take for granted and come back and think it will still be there.

Can I give you a challenge?

Move from that comfort zone. Comfort zones are not healthy. They cause you to become complacent, comfortable, and lazy and it is highly contagious.

Just because something looks unchangeable, doesn’t mean that it is. You are looking at it from your area of comfort. When you move, you see much clearer.

Yes, it may seem a little scary, but…

Joshua 1:9- says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

1 Timothy 1:7- says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and

a sound mind.”

At some point, we have to learn to TRUST Him. Why not start right now!
